Flavour Development Team
The Flavour Team, led by the Flavour Development Manager Dr Denneval, balance their artistic and scientific nature to produce some amazing flavours whilst maintaining EL-Sciences very standards for what we allow in our eLiquids. Diacetyl is well known but our flavour team work with restrictions on a whole range of other compounds as directed by our Toxicological partners.
Dr. Charline Denneval BSc MSc
Flavour Development Manager
Charline is EL-Science’s Flavour Development Manager. She obtained her PhD in Organic Chemistry from the Institut National Des Sciences Appliquées Rouen in France. Prior to this she received an MSc degree from the University of Rouen.
Her post-graduate research was focused on the synthesis of new pharmaceutical structures, specifically synthesizing a bimodal probe using TPA–PET techniques, with a potential application in biological imaging. This included the synthesis of a new range of fluorophores using polyethylene glycol as the water soluble part, before measuring their UV/Vis and photoluminescence properties and obtaining two-photon absorption cross-sections of the fluorophores. The results of Charline’s research have been published and presented at various symposiums.
Before joining EL-Science, Charline worked at the Tohoku University in Japan as a postdoctoral researcher for 9 months. Her research here involved the development of organometallic compounds, and she was also responsible for the supervision of undergraduate students. Charline has strong experience in organic models and characterization, as well as organic compound analysis via GC-MS.
